Help and Troubleshooting

Practical answers for public X/Twitter post links and browser download behavior.

Before trying again

Copy the full URL of a public X/Twitter post that contains video media. Do not enter account credentials, cookies, access tokens, or private links. The tool only accepts public post URLs.

INVALID_URL

The URL is invalid

Use a public x.com or twitter.com post URL that contains a status ID. Profile links, search pages, shortened links that do not resolve to a post, and copied text without a URL cannot be parsed.

NO_MEDIA_FOUND

No supported video was found

The public post may not contain a supported video, or its available media information may have changed.

PRIVATE_OR_UNAVAILABLE

The post is unavailable

Private, deleted, restricted, paywalled, or otherwise unavailable posts are not supported. DownXVideo does not use sign-in cookies or bypass access controls.

RATE_LIMITED

Too many requests

Wait a moment before trying the same public post again. Repeatedly resubmitting the form will not speed up the source response.

PROVIDER_TIMEOUT / PROVIDER_ERROR

The source service did not respond

Public media endpoints and third-party parsing services can fail or change without notice. Try again later with the same public post URL.

DIRECT_X_DISABLED / REQUIRES_PROCESSING

A direct MP4 is not currently available

Some public posts do not expose a direct downloadable MP4 option through the current parser. The tool will not offer a workaround that bypasses access controls.

Saving an MP4 in your browser

On iPhone and iPad, a direct MP4 link or a large-file fallback can open in Safari instead of immediately saving. Use Share, Save to Files, or long press the MP4 link. On Android, check the browser download list or the Downloads folder. On a desktop browser, use the normal download prompt or right click an opened MP4 and choose Save Video As.

Files up to 500 MB normally use the browser download flow. Larger files may be opened as a direct MP4 link so the browser can handle the save action.
