What “original-size” means for an X image
DownXVideo requests the image variant marked for original-size delivery by X and preserves the dimensions and format exposed by that public media URL. This avoids saving a smaller page preview or taking a screenshot of the post.
Original-size does not mean the file is guaranteed to match the exact bytes uploaded by the author. X may resize, compress, re-encode, remove metadata, or otherwise process an upload before making its public JPG, PNG, or WebP variant available.

- Select Download separately for every image you are allowed to save.
- Confirm each completed file in the browser download list or device file manager.

Mixed posts, quoted posts, and reposted media
A public post can contain or reference more than one media type. This guide lists supported still images and leaves ordinary video or animated_gif results out. Use the Twitter GIF Downloader guide when the target is a GIF-style animation.
When the parser can identify a quoted or reposted source relationship, review the source label before downloading. Public visibility and technical availability do not grant permission to republish another person’s image.
Find the downloaded image on your device
- iPhone or iPad: Safari may save the file in Downloads in the Files app or offer a long-press or Share action for Photos.
- Android: start with the browser’s Downloads list or the Files app, then move the image if your gallery watches another folder.
- Windows or macOS: use the browser download list to reveal the file because the configured folder or ask-every-time setting can differ.
A browser can open an image in a tab instead of immediately saving it. Use the normal Save image, Download, Share, or Save to Files action offered by that browser and device.
When no supported image appears
- Copy the public post URL containing
/status/and its numeric ID rather than a direct media or profile URL. - Confirm that the post contains a still image rather than only video, GIF-style media, a link preview, or an external player.
- Confirm that the post remains publicly accessible without an X account session.
- Wait before retrying after a rate limit or temporary source error.
- Do not provide an X password, cookie, token, private-media URL, or direct-message link.

Does this download the original Twitter/X image quality?
The tool requests the original-size image variant exposed by X for the public post. X may already have processed the upload, so DownXVideo does not describe the result as unchanged original upload bytes.

Yes. Each supported image is listed separately so you can download the files you need one at a time.
