Confirm that a download actually started
If DownXVideo showed Open MP4 and the video only played in a tab, the browser may not have saved a file yet. Use the player, Share, long-press, or save command offered by that browser.
Check the device location
Use Files on iPhone or iPad, Files or Downloads on Android, and the reveal-in-folder action on Windows or macOS. Do not assume another browser profile uses the same folder.
Review browser download settings

Parse again only when needed
If no download started or an old source link expired, return to the original public post and parse it again. Repeated downloads can create duplicate filenames rather than reveal the first file.

First confirm whether the browser saved a file
DownXVideo results can show Download or Open MP4. Download starts the normal browser save flow when the file is eligible. Open MP4 loads a direct source video, and playback alone does not guarantee that a local file was created.
Open the browser’s downloads list before repeating the action. It can show whether a transfer is running, completed, blocked, canceled, or missing entirely. If the MP4 only plays, use the player download control, browser menu, Share action, long press, or desktop save command that your current browser provides.

Find the video on iPhone or iPad
- In Safari, open its Downloads list if the download indicator is present.
- Open Files, choose Browse, and look for Downloads under iCloud Drive or On My iPhone.
- If neither location matches, review Safari’s download-location setting or search Files for the recent MP4.
- To add the file to Photos, open it in Files, choose Share, and select Save Video when that action is available.

Find the video on Android
- Open the menu in the browser that started the download and choose Downloads or its equivalent.
- Open the device’s Files app and check Downloads and Recent.
- If the MP4 opens in Files but not in a Gallery app, wait for indexing or move or copy it to a folder that your chosen gallery displays.
- Review the browser download setting when Files shows a different folder from the one you expected.

If the entry is present but incomplete, let the transfer finish or read the visible browser error. If no entry exists, return to the result and check whether you used Open MP4 instead of Download.
